Rather like a bizarre Advent calendar it seems that each day in this joyful season will reveal to us one Briton after another who has set their heart on murder and abuse of others. Of course I’m using Briton in the loosest sense, the politically correct sense, to mean anyone who happens to have lived in the UK for more than a week. If I were using the word in an almost criminally politically incorrect manner I’d not be able to call our Somalian friends of yesterday, nor the anti-hero of today British in any degree whatsoever. But times change and it would be unfair surely, another politically correct shibboleth, to deny to others the quality of being British simply because their culture and personal history have little or no connection to our island nation whatsoever. It’s thought that Abu Hajar al-Britani, the man behind the door on our Hate-vent calendar today, is the 29th British Muslim jihadi to have died fighting with ISIS, the brutal and brutish Islamic force seeking to kill, enslave and rape as many people across the Middle East as possible in the name of a restored Muslim Caliphate. A photo released of him by ISIS shows him dressed in military clothing, with a copy of the Koran tucked into a chest pocket over his heart. Perhaps he misinterprets and misrepresents Islam, but he certainly considered himself a faithful Muslim, and those who sent him to kill and destroy with a lorry load of 1800 kg of explosives also seem to be convinced they are following the instructions of Allah.
Modern and modernist clergyman, such as retired Bishop Harries of Oxford, may well consider Islam a religion of peace that should be able to take its place in our national culture, but rather unfortunately for such an argument as many as 80% of the Muslims of an equally modern and modernist London seem to support ISIS. That’s the ISIS that blows up innocent women and children, calls mass murderers martyrs, and likes to crucify and behead any of its opponents who are unlucky enough to fall into their hands.
It is to be hoped that Abu Hajar’s family will be ashamed of his behaviour and will repudiate it publically. We don’t presently know the name he used when he lived among us here in the UK. But if recent polling is accurate, there will be a great many Muslims in the UK who will commend and applaud his sacrifice of others in the name of Allah.
Who funded the Ninja suit? Follow the money.
You think he was a Qatari ninja or a Saudi one?
Probably Desmond Swayne, and seeing that he’s spending our taxes, you!
“Total UK support to Palestinians is £349 million from 2011-15, including around £30 million a year for Gaza.”
