Nigel Farage completely silences the screaming UAF rent-a-mob when they try to silence him in Hove yesterday.
I must say that seeing Farage’s performance, unprepared and unscripted, gives me some encouragement and hope.
Write ruthlessly what you believe to be the truth, or else shut up!

I have voted UKIP and probably will in the future.
I don’t trust Farage entirely because of his links to big business.
My fear has always been that – at any point – the whole thing will meld into the Conservative Party and everybody gets led up the garden path again like they did in 2010.
But I give Farage his due. He has charisma and will engage people in street debate, so long as he is not physically pounced upon.
It is hugely difficult for anyone to mount a serious challenge to the main parties and Farage’s journey shows why most can never make it.
It requires money, organisation, being ignored by the MSM, being smeared by the MSM and so on.
I’m not sure where it all leads to be honest, but as long as it gets rid of LibLabCon, I’m along with the ride for now!
An excellent performance by Farage.
And he’s right about the consistency on individual liberty. Especially given what we’ve learned today with Obama spying on everyone.
It’s not the terrorists they’re spying on. It’s us. True terrorists are experts in anti-surveillance.
Somebody posted a link on the Wall to Nick Cohen’s piece on surveillance.
Read it.
Big Brother is watching you.
Farage mentions Ken Clarke in the video above.
That Clarke smear was not just Clarke on his own.
Make no mistake.
That was Conservative Central Office saying: ‘It’s the last weekend before the elections, we want this message (that we’ve used before) on a loop on rolling news channels all day on Sunday. Use Ken Clarke. He’s seen as cuddly and so the voters will thin “he must be right”. Cameron can’t use that message again. Put it in the mouth of Clarke and it will work.’
The irony is that week before, Ken Clarke (who is very far from cuddly – I won’t go further than that) was sat next to Melanie Phillips, where she explained why such a smear (it’s an old Conservative Party recipe) backfires on the Tories.
He was sat next to her and – even if he despises Melanie Phillips – he refused to listen to what she said:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nyi-iETKz9w
He would not get why such a smear will always backfire.
OK, Clarke’s handlers couldn’t see why such a message would backfire. Same thing!
They’re such a bunch of nasty, selfish, spiteful ‘posh boys’, to use Nadine Dorries’ phrase, even when it’s said in their faces, they just carry on doing it.
The smear was old, Melanie Phillips’ explanation is old – she has said it before in print and still they don’t get it!
On top of all the rest of it, they are thick, thick, thick.
By the way, the girl in that footage was – this is a Question Time audience – a Labour Party stooge:

Well, whaddya know!
Is one of the main tenets of democracy not listening to (what you consider the opposite side) and then arguing against it, not, as these people from the U.A.F believe in and trying to drown out ,by use of mindless shouting.
I have never voted U.K.I.P but after hearing Mr. Farage speak I would.
This is how the SWP/UAF deals with people who pay to go to their conference, then patiently wait their turn to ask a question. The fascist Left has neither history, logic nor morality on their side.

The woman went there to show that the UAF had been lying for years about the EDL being racist. The UAF “took a vote” to decide if the room wanted to see the photos. Watch the video – only a minority of the attendees voted NOT to see the photos. But still the UAF leaders attacked the jewish woman, and tore up the photos before the other attendees could see them. The UAF went on to attack the jewish woman’s Pakistani companion, and to smash the video camera.
Bear in mind: this was in the Q&A, the time when voices other than the speakers were to be heard. They cannot tolerate any opinion that differs from theirs. Faced with contradictory evidence, they behave like the fascist mob they are.
One Society Many Cultures is another SWP front group. They make all these claims that they believe in diversity but cannot tolerate any view that differs from theirs. So much for “many cultures”.
If I lived in Britain, I would most certainly vote UKIP and support Farage. To hell and back, if necessary.
I’m not easily impressed, but this guy is the best Britain has produced since Churchill!
I hope the people who introduce Nigel Farage don’t make a habit of comparing him to Churchill – an appeal to nostalgia and an invitation to hubris.
The UAF are a fascist group, UKIP and in particular Nigel Farage have got them running scared.
Frank Sutton is right they should not compare him to Churchill but the can for his plain speeking compare him to the blessed Margaret.
Sleina – I joined UKIP early this year, if enough of us like minded people join, then UKIP will NOT end up as part of the Conservative Liar party, or the the Con / Lab / Lib Alliance! We have to create what WE want it to be – Totally Independant – 100%
Sorry batteries on kb running flat – Typo – Selina 🙂
The problems we are facing in this country are being driven on by the EU, they are behind Labour, LibDems and the Conservative party and the thuggish fascist groups like UAF, SWP, the Unions play their part in channeling the funds and their Communist agenda, there are other EU controlled groups like Common Purpose that has infiltrated all our public bodies and the Marxist national media spew forth a very one sided left wing agenda. This must change and the only way to start is to rid ourselves of the EU and instil national pride once again. You have my vote Mr Farage.
The Conservative Party is dead, the Funeral arrangements are but a detail. I was a dyed in the wool Conservative but find them a repugnant sycophantic bunch of mutual back slappers. No doubt there will be defections across the floor to UKIP, however the rules must be made quite clear on the fundamentals, perhaps a written contract would be a device that could be shown if anyone changed direction “down the road”.
Finally a voice in the political wilderness, who has some grasp of the situation of not only what’s happening in Britain, but Europe as a whole. A person who is willing to stand up and say exactly how it is. He dealt with the UAF quite admirably and UKIP.can count on my vote in the future
I will vote UKIP I had given up on the other parties but I will support this one Nigel Farage speaks for millions of unhappy disillusioned true Brits
silly girls, can’t stand these anti-fascist fascists.
