This is the Coffee House Wall for this week. I won’t say that it is your chance to communicate with us, as we are all in this together. It is, nevertheless, the Conservative Blog post that has no particular theme, and where everything is on topic. Let’s just remember that we want to avoid ad hominem attacks on others. We don’t want to engage with trolls. We want to moderate our language ourselves as responsible and mature adults, choosing to use fruity language only where it is necessary. This is our opportunity to show what the Spectator Coffee House Wall could have been like.

Here is something that might work, and would not require too much courage.
In many towns and cities across the country, on a Sunday afternoon, in the square or central place, a group of protesters assemble. They have a clear message of resistance, identifying just two or three issues that can be easily understood and widely endorsed.
The groups assemble across the country at 3 pm for 15 or 30 minutes only. They distribute leaflets indicating that they will be back next Sunday at the same time and in the same place. At 3:15 or 3:30 pm they disperse as rapidly as they had gathered.
There is a website associated with the protest. It carries a petition and more information about the two or three issues of greatest and loudest concern, as well as other subsidiary issues.
Next Sunday, in some places there are just the same few people protesting, but in some other places more have turned out. People know it is just a peaceful statement and it will only last 15 or 30 minutes.
Every Sunday the same protest takes place. Does it become a popular movement? That would depend on various factors, not least the advertising, the website, the issues being protested against, and the demands being made. But it is one way in which a popular protest could be created which would enable ordinary, peaceful but angry English people to make a stand.
There are 1000 towns and cities in England. If 10 people stood in protest in each of these towns and cities there would be 10,000 people protesting nationally. If the protest could be increased to 100 in each town (on average of course) then there would be 100,000 people protesting nationally.
But the issues would need to be chosen carefully, and the protest have a clear set of demands and objectives which were trans-party political. They would need to be ones which addressed the pressures placed on the working poor and the unemployed so that they could gain wide societal support.
There is some value in this statement – All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.
Peter
Could work. But sadly I think you will have to check the TV schedules first 🙁
Well, I’m conscious that following our recent passionate (but unrancourous) debate, Malfleur and I had each laid out our respective views, without, of course either of us changing the views of the other in the slightest!
However, these recent posts have pricked my conscience and I will turn to writing my promised post on the subject.
After all, it’s autumn, the evenings are starting to draw in and it will be good warming fun for Wallsters to try to throw this nascent republican on the Windsor bonfire!
Peter
I already have a not inconsiderable involvement in local politics. I beleive that at present the most effective way of protesting against the present political autocracy is by campaigning for the popular and fast growing UKIP.
Noa
Surely you see that ukip have seen their zenith.
Support is falling.
Furthermore voting for them will let in the socialists.
Do we not all have a duty to get behind Dave?
Noa, I think more is required than UKIP. There must be as popular protest beyond another party, however interesting its policies. Both/And not Either/Or
Sorry to disappoint you Huktra, but support for UKIP is growing faster than the decline in support for Cameron’s nearly extinct Conservatives.
Which means that we are recruiting well from the aspirational and threatened white working class that Miliband and Co have rejected favour of their develping alliance with the muslim brotherhood.
Peter,
It would be nice to see, but as Alexandr points out, TV and the weather play a crucial part in our politics. Do’nt expect to see a radical of any hue on the streets until, spring, when, like the daffodils, a more general political interest will re-awaken and blooom.
I was not necessarily thinking of now. Street protest on a Sunday afternoon needs the late Spring to bring out numbers. But any coherent protest would attract media attention I believe, especially if it was ordinary people.
The difficulty is Peter, that without focus it become like this:-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT9xuXQjxMM
Noa, I am not sure that I said it should be without focus. Quite the contrary if you read back through my posts.
The trouble with UKIP at present is that it does not address the most important issues for various reasonable reasons.
We might hope that there will be some UKIP MPs in the future. But I am not expecting a majority at the next election. The weakness of our political system is that presently it relies on politicians. What is required is a popular movement to demand action on key issues from all of those who are MPs. UKIP does not seem to want to be that popular movement, though I do support it.
Huktra: “Do we not all have a duty to get behind Dave?”
Wrong question. It should be “Doesn’t Dave have a duty to do something to win back support for his party?”
And I wouldn’t assume that “we” are all Conservative – at least in the party political sense.

I note the order you have chosen for the incarceration and trial.
Which reminds me that if you take the “c” out of incarceration, you are left with inarceration: similar to what happens if you take the “c” out of normal sexual behaviour.

Great post by Greenfield. Wit and wisdom … packed with devastating and damning detail of disastrous, debilitating dereliction of duty on the part of the POTUS and his posse of political pretenders.
The press conference in France today, featuring three stooges – Lurch the liar; Willie the Wanker and Fabius the Frog, would make a good script for a pantomime at the Palladium this Christmas; always supposing the lights don’t go off again “all over the world” (cue Vera Lynn) in the meantime, as I remember them doing in September 1939.
Never in the field of human conflict has so much drivel been delivered to so many by the few (comprising a criminal cabal of corrupt cocksuckers – all posturing and jockeying for position in the annals of infamy).
Un – fuckin’ – believable! Though why it should be, after the last decade + of egregious geopolitics, I’m still trying to fathom. I put it down to the residual scraps of faith in human nature to overcome the upshot of the iniquities of even this bunch of bastards currently in charge of the political ‘decision-making’ in the Western corridors of power.
Noa (12:05)
That just about sums it up! 😉
Frank P
Willie, Fabius and John are stranded at Damascus airport when it is captured by rebels.
The rebels tell them that they will all die and their skin will be used to cover a canoe. However, they can choose the weapon with which to kill themselves.
Willie chooses a pistol. He says “Long live the qu,…uh, Deputy Speaker!” and puts a bullet through his head.
Fabius chooses a sword. He says “Vive la France!” and slits his wrists.
John asks for a fork. Confused, but not willing to renege on his promise the tribe leader provides a fork.
Suddenly John begins stabbing himself. There is blood everywhere, his skin is covered in holes. Just before he dies of loss of blood he looks the terrorist leader in the eyes and says “Fuck your canoe.”

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2421780/Britain-s-double-sex-swap-wedding-Groom-used-mother-bride-times-married-bearded-man-called-Leslie.html
When are British journalists going to get their heads round the fact that there is no such thing as a “sex change”. Your DNA cannot be altered. The “bride” still has male DNA and the “groom” is still a female. To refer to them as their manufactured pretend sex is to encourage bone-headed ignorance of science.
Noa (14:14) 🙂
Nah! C’mon! Lurch is not that brave (despite his phony gong from the ‘Nam screw up).
Following the reasoning of you little fantasy, he probably would have stabbed the other two stiffs with his fork and said to the ringleader of the rebels, “Well, Mohammed that’s fucked your canoe; so now let’s do a deal ’bout how we can all get out of this shit-hole; how do you fancy a little estate near Martha’s Vineyard with a plot for a new mosque? My plane’s already on the tarmac. I could also wangle a Congressional Medal of Honour for you from a grateful POTUS, for rescuing me from a hard fought skirmish with the bunch of renegades with you – all you have to do is shoot them all and you ‘n’ me are outta here.”
My dear husband has just announced that nobody today would dare to say, “Get behind me, Satan.” Well, depening on their orientation, I think they might!

The fact that this quote is attributed to Adolph Hitler does not make it a wrong or a false idea.
Hitler was very good on this sort of thing, and he should not be ignored.

“Noa Surely you see that ukip have seen their zenith.
Support is falling. Furthermore voting for them will let in the socialists.
Do we not all have a duty to get behind Dave?”
Quick answer no.
However I see much merit in a huge turnout for UKIP allowing the dreadful Labour shower back intp power.
First it would in my opinion shock all wishy-washy conservatives into the realisation that they had strayed too far from to the left and that they would need to assimilate UKIP into the mainstream of the Conservative party if they wish to gain power.
And secondly the useless labour shower under the feeble minded Ed Miliband would make such an almighty cockup that the country would turn to a reformed Conservative part with vigour.

“First it would in my opinion shock all wishy-washy conservatives into the realisation that they had strayed too far from to the left and that they would need to assimilate UKIP into the mainstream of the Conservative party if they wish to gain power.”
Nice idea, but dangerous…we tried it after the 1974 elections, and look how much further we had to slide down the tubes before The Blessed Margaret got her go.
And even then the party wasn’t properly behind her; there was much cavilling and bitching before the serendipity of the Falklands made her position unassailable.
And I think even so it was a while before the opinion polls finally swung her way.
Frank P (15.06)
You are regrettably right, and saw through my feeble attempt to treat the declie of the West with humour, however bad. Truly, it’s not a joke that our safety and freedoms are in the hands of such feeble cretins.
The time for protests in the nature of ‘That’s enough of that, Now!’ are long gone. It’s far to serious for that, to paraphrase:-
These days, when I hear the word socialism I want to reach for the gun that Tony Blair took off me. Now of course we know why.
“I want to reach for the gun that Tony Blair took off me. Now of course we know why.”

Ostrich (occasionally): SECONDED!!!
So Melanie Phillips’ column has been axed from the Mail!
It’s nothing to do with revamping the paper at all.
It’s either personal or political.
Was there a fall-out with Dacre?
He has said she can do other ‘major’ writing. She already did that for the Mail anyway. She always penned pieces other than her column.
Or was it political?
I do sense from afar that Britain is coming close for the first time to a re-ordering of sorts and Mel is likely to be classed by the elite as a ‘malcontent’.
One they don’t want around if they’re to save their skins.
The country itself has collapsed (Peter Hitchens now calls himself an obituarist).
But the political change that must inevitably follow is near.
And I can’t help but think the Establishment wants any such momentum closed own and they want ‘troublemakers’, like Mel, who is neither Tory or Labour, shut down.
Scotland votes for independence next year, which would end the federal control of the Union that seems to have made its people so supine in their own destruction.
I know Salmond wants to be part of the EU, but that is a separate one from indepenedence and I think he will find it a hard sell if he manages to shake off the first form of federalism in the shape of the Union.
I take all anti-federalism as victory these days.
And the mainstream parties are almost in the grave.
Is it that Mel was seen as too much of a troublemaker in such a period of upheaval?
The Establishment is now fighting like a cornered dog to survive (witness the smears against UKIP) and I don’t think they want clever people like Mel spicing things up.
She has always stood out like a sore thumb in the Mail, offending the shibboleths of Left and Right, she has always attracted a very broad readership – and significantly the independent thinkers.
There is now no serious thinker on the Mail.
There is Hitchens, who I am less fond of, but that’s the Mail on Sunday. The rest of the Mail’s ‘serious’ commentariat is a disgrace.
We cannot count Richard Littlejohn and Quentin Letts. Funny as they are, they are satirists.
What is left?
Max ‘Hitler’ Hastings, Andrew Alexander, Peter McKay. All of them little arabists.
Peter Obore used to be among them, but he flounced off in his niqab to the Telegraph a long time ago.
But you get the measure. It’s now a paper full of Establishment toadies.
One of the great joys of Mel’s columns was knowing how much they would offend her stablemate columnists.
The rest of the Mail’s columnists are pretty interchagable in their views (and write dreadful prose too).
There is very little I disagree with Melanie Phillips on (the royal family is the most prominent), but boy can she write.
So many columns feel like a thunder clap of common sense in some wretched brainwashed debate.
Out comes Mel with a blinding ray of light that sets them all scarpering and upsets them. Good.
Oh, and we all remember her Specator blog – the comments never were as numerous once she left, were they?
That’s just a wall-to-wall Establishment rag now.

Mel says: “I have a very large following indeed among Daily Mail readers. Many write to me to say I am the only reason they read the paper (it’s enough to turn a girl’s head!) Only today, I was stopped at a Tube station by a woman who said: ‘I love your articles; don’t ever stop writing them’.”
Indeed. The rest of that bloody paper is nothing more than a Conservative Party propaganda tool, filling people’s head with bread and circus celebrity mush and a bunch of ‘serious’ columnists who are just full of spiteful, cliched cant to prop up the Tory party.
Melanie drew all sorts: Left, Right, the politically dispossessed.
I wish her well, but I smell an increasingly aggressive nasty media that intends to quell this ballot box revolution come what may and doesn’t want people who cultivate independent thinking.
You don’t just axe a column as popular as that, do you?

Thanks, Frank.
Dacre is a creep. I hope he had to pay out heavily to that poor man Jefferies, the former landlord of murder victim Jo Yeates. Dacre was one of the scumbags who tried and found Jefferies guilty by publishing slander and cruel remarks about the poor man’s appearance.

Well fuck HIM! Old Commies (albeit ‘one of the great conservative writers of our time who has done yeoman service in defending the principles of liberal democracy, in both the political and educational domains’) who want to hide the dirty washing of the era of deep communist infiltration of Western Culture should suffer for their pre-apostate sins, when someone delves into the deviousness of the WWII duplicity and the destruction of the reputations of both Joe McCarthy and J Edgar Hoover post-war. Diana West has done a good job. May she long persevere.
btw, buy or borrow her book, Wallsters. It could change your perspectives.
Frank P – Wallsters. I like it.
Melanie’s writing – “No one has a human right to hide from justice behind a veil” has produced this brilliant comment in a letter from a lady in Liverpool to the Daily Mail. It reads something like this –
Lawyer – “Were you threatened when you witnessed the crime?”
Witness – “Yes.”
Lawyer – “And is the person who threatened you here in this court?”
Witness – “I don’t know.”

Yesterday I read Mel’s last piece in the Mail, and a great sadness came over me, indeed for a while I though there must be some mistake. but posts on this site put me right. Damn the Mail, I shall not buy it again, Mel’s was the one true voice of Britain left in that increasingly subversive rag. Still, there is Alexander Boot and Mark Steyn, all is not lost and I will go back to the Telegraph.

Britain should resign from the UN. It does not benefit us in any conceivable way. If went, I feel pretty certain that Oz and NZ would follow, and possibly Canada. France might go as well as they don’t like being bossed about by foreigners. Any readers got any idea which other countries might leave if Britain, Oz and NZ left this parasitical cesspit of commies and Third World garbage?

So far I’ve read only half of Diana West’s American Betrayal. However I noticed that there is, at the end of Chapter 7, a reference to a note number 107 – but there is no corresponding entry in the notes at the end of the book. It had to do with somebody called Ivan Krivosertsov who died in mysterious circumstances in London in 1947. So I searched on the Internet for references to him.
That in turn led me to this review of American Betrayal. The review is in itself well worth reading –

Remember the Fort Hood shooting?
“First of all, Hasan, by himself, was able to wreak havoc at a secure military installation while reportedly armed with nothing but two handguns. How? Most of his intended victims were disarmed. Army regulations require that under normal operational procedure at Army bases on home soil soldiers are prohibited from carrying weapons unless under specific orders to do so (such as military police). This left highly trained fighting men and women at the mercy of a killer. We see the same scenario play out over and over when it is law abiding citizens disarmed by their government who are easy targets for armed criminals.”

Down with the bag tax! Here’s my take on it: http://bogpaper.com/2013/09/18/russell-taylor-down-with-the-bag-tax/
The toxic Daily Mail has been banging on about what it regards as its victory regarding the charging for plastic bags. Hypocrites, the lot of them. On a weekend one can not buy a newspaper without half of it being wrapped in plastic and containing sections which are of no relevance to the readership, yet no criticism of its own transgressions. The term whited sepulchre comes to mind.
“…When you agree in principle to legislate against people’s free will, you set a dangerous precedent. Or rather, it would be a precedent if we hadn’t made the same mistake before. This time it’s carrier bags, next time it will be a law against patio heaters, or Page 3 girls, or smoking in public. Whoops, too late on that last one. Everyone was so relaxed about it, they let it ride and here we are, five years later, faced with latest item on the meddlers’ to-do list. It won’t be the last – it never is. And there’ll be no point complaining when it’s something you feel more strongly about in the crosshairs. You consented to the logic of nanny-knows-best when you shrugged off all those other abuses of power.”

A taster, but read it all:
“If you’re not looking at the world through Mia Farrow’s blue-tinted glasses, if you’re in Beijing or Moscow, Ankara or Canberra, it’s the shadow that everyone sees, very clearly — the sepulchral Hapsburgian twilight of a dimming power enjoying its last waltz. Like Vienna exactly a century ago, America retains a certain creative energy, if you’re willing to put Jay-Z up there with Franz Lehár. It is at the forefront of therapeutic culture: If Freud had thought to stick his couch on a TV set, he might have made as much dough as Oprah, or at least Dr. Phil. As Vienna sat on an underground “river of sex” (as William Boyd calls it in his recent novel Waiting for Sunrise), so in America the river is overground and its Niagara-like roar the unceasing background din of daily life: A New York mayoral candidate twitpics his penis. A putative successor to San Diego’s grope-fiend mayor is caught masturbating in a city-hall men’s room. Miley Cyrus in her scanties “twerks” — or is twerked upon (I’m not sure I can reliably say which) — live on TV. Yawn. Next . . .”

She has already authored a paper in 2011 stating that doctors do not need empathy…
Empathy is commonly regarded as an essential attribute for doctors and there is a conviction that empathy must be taught to medical students. Yet it is not clear exactly what empathy is, from a philosophical or sociological point of view, or whether it can be taught. The meaning, role and relevance of empathy in medical education have tended to be unquestioningly assumed; there is a need to examine and contextualise these assumptions. This paper opens up that debate, arguing that ‘empathy’, as it is commonly understood, is neither necessary nor sufficient to guarantee good medical or ethical practice.

Smajdor is a political mongrel, half Nazi and half Marxist. It is typical of the other political mongrels who govern this country that she holds positions of power and influence. From her opinions on motherhood, I assume she is a lesbian, but of course she may be a trans (or non) sexual creature spawned in a petri dish. I just wish that a painful and terminal disease would decend upon her, and that she woud find herself in an NHS ward under the tender administrations of medical and nursing staff who follow her agenda of noncompassionate treatment.

RobertC – 14:55 ‘the NHS and the unkind Dr Smajdor’
Just a thought! Veiled women can deliver unkindness very effectively, so is it all part of a bigger plan?
And we have this!
Secret ban on face veils for staff at 17 hospitals
At least 17 NHS hospitals have banned front line staff from wearing the veil, The Telegraph has learned, as ministers called for new guidelines to ensure all patients can have “face to face” contact with those who care for them.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/nhs/10319264/Secret-ban-on-face-veils-for-staff-at-17-hospitals.html
How can we have a secret ban? Who isn’t being told?
Do other hospitals not have a ban, or is it not secret?
For those with a ban, do those who refuse to work without a veil get compensation?
Can the public show their disgust at this alien, obstructive behaviour?
Where do we draw the line?
Isn’t ‘face to face contact’ the reason the Government wants HS2?
Britain is going bonkers!

Thanks for the Russian Orthodox link Frank. For me the most telling, and depressing element is the West’s secular betrayal of its own Christian heritage to alien and profoundly hostile islamic savagery:-
“Patriarch Kirill:
I am deeply convinced that the countries which belong to the Christian civilization bear a special responsibility for the fate of Christians in the Middle East.
Here the good patriarch speaks a language that may have once resonated with Americans and Europeans — that is, the people from “the countries which belong to the Christian civilization” — but which is increasingly meaningless to those who insist that their “humanitarian concerns” extend to anyone but those unfashionable Christians, and to some American Protestants who are unaware that Christians actually exist outside of the U.S.”

They, by the way, were in Vince Cable’s manor, which is only to be expected. Consider the contrast now, as the useful idiots discuss whether medical staff can wear shmuttes on their faces. The government, afraid to offend the ragheads, says it must be a professional decision. If it is so important for these ragheads to cover their faces, why don’t they bugger off to Syria, Iraq or some other hell hole where their services woud be welcome? Truly horrific! For such dials, I am all in favour of a thick blackout type face covering.
It’s not my thing. I don’t agree entirely with his message. But this is becoming a regular occurence now. They are silencing those who speak and using the police to do so. All very reasonable and with the appearance of legality. It’s just like Stalinist Russia.
The past few months have been rather intense in the open-air preaching community. I have had numerous friends arrested for preaching Jesus in public, and I often wondered if my day would come. Personally, I never want to be arrested for preaching. I respect the Police, and think they do a hard job. However, today, God in His Sovereignty allowed me to be arrested for preaching the Gospel in Perth, Scotland.
It was a beautiful autumn day in Perth. The sky was clear, and the sun shone. It was so nice that I thought it’d be good to have lunch with my family in the town before I began to the outreach. After some family time, I began to hand out Gospel tracts and talk to people about Jesus. The tracts went out rather quickly, and people seemed more open to talking today.
At 11:45am, I stood up to preach in the open-air. My text for today was John 8:31-36 –
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
My emphasis was one: Truth, Slavery, and Freedom. I spoke about how Christ is true, and we can trust His Words. I preached on how we are all enslaved to sin, and how it is only by Jesus Christ that we can be free.
While I was preaching a staff member from EE came out and began to swear at me. He yelled some abuse and then walked away. A group of teenage girls also gathered and began to mock the Gospel. I warned them that God is not mocked, what they sow, they will reap.
After preaching for a few more minutes a crowd began to gather. It was then that a window opened up behind me and a man hung out and began to scream at me in foul language. He told me not to politely to shut up and go away. During this time the police drove past and ignored me.
I kept preaching, and spoke about how Christ offers freedom from sins. At this stage a man asked the question, “Why would a good God allow suffering?” I answered his objection, and pointed out that the concept of a good God should terrify him, as God’s goodness demands that sin must be punished.
It was around this time I noticed the police van coming back around. It drove into the area where the crowd gathered, and the officer turned off the engine. I was expecting him do say something, but he didn’t say a word. So, I kept preaching. This drew attention, people everywhere began to stop to see why a police van was blocking the preacher. Praise the Lord that He allowed the Gospel to go out further!
After a few minutes the police officer finally spoke. He told me to stop, as I was breaking the law. I asked him what law I was breaking, and he replied that I was in breach of the peace. When I asked him to explain, he pointed to my mp3 recorder and said I was too loud. I pointed out to the officer that I wasn’t using amplification, but just my natural voice. I then asked him what a reasonable sound level would be. The police officer replied that the noise level isn’t the issue, but rather that a complaint had been made. I tried to reason with the officer, explaining that such argumentation is subjective as anyone can claim anything is too loud.
During this time a man who had been listening to the open-air began to protest the police stopping me. One of the officers didn’t like this, so he began to push this man telling him to go away. I pointed out that the officer was assaulting the man and he shouldn’t be doing that.
The man then turned to the crowd and began to address them about freedoms and civil liberties. The police at this stage left me and went to the man. I was behind the van and couldn’t see what happened, but my wife said the police were very physically rough with this man.
After dealing with him the police came back to me. The officer said I wasn’t allowed to preach. I tried explaining that I wasn’t breaking the law, and that I would continue to preach. At this the officer said, “If you do that I’ll arrest you.” My answer was, “I guess you had better arrest me then, as I’m not breaking the law.” With this the police officer placed me under arrest for breach of the peace.
By this stage a second police van had arrived. It was called in for prisoner transport. What was interesting was that it was called in before I was arrested. It almost makes me assume that the police had planned from the beginning to arrest me.
The crowd was still present at this time, and they watched me be arrested. During this same time the man who was protesting was also arrested for breach of the peace. Again the police were rough with him. One officer pushed him while another man forcibly removed the mans wallet to search for ID.
It was around this time I spoke to another officer who told me that I was being arrested. Again, I asked what law I had broken. It was at this point she told me that the content of my message was illegal. I found this amazing, since I was only preaching the Gospel. She also said people had accused me of swearing at those in the crowd. I pointed out that was a lie, and that I have an mp3 recording of the whole open-air.
After a few more minutes I was placed in the back of a police van. Behind me was the protesting man.
We were driven through the city centre of Perth to the police station. On arrival I was told to sit and wait. The police nicely left my Bible with me, so I was able to read from Psalm 37 as I waited.
They first dealt with the protest man, and then they took me into an interview room. The police began to speak, but I interrupted and asked that the interview be recorded and that I have my legal representative. They refused to allow this. As a result I used my right to silence.
Towards the end of my interview the officer said to me, “You seem reasonable. Why don’t you just stop preaching?” I replied by saying, “Let me ask you a question, is it better to obey man or God?”
With that the interview was over, and I was given a caution. The police also told me that if I preach again then we will go through the process all over again.
Praise God the Gospel went forth despite the opposition.
PfM – 22.37
The speed and ferocity with which we are being destroyed is shocking, but when the Church itself sanctions and uses a translation of say, as it’s mentioned above, Psalm 37 which now reads “Fret not thyself because of the evil-doer” instead of the King James translation which is “Fret not thyself because of the ungodly”, it does most of the Marxists work for them.

Wonder whether there is a ‘Romeo and Juliet’ scenario somewhere in this tragic and savage case?
Peter, that is a fascinating account.
Not least the attempt to interview without a solicitor present.
Despite all the PACE changes, many officers still try to circumvent the law by handing over their notebooks to the accused before they have seen a lawyer and say ‘sign this’ – without telling the person they don’t have to.
In the UK, the public are now obliged to give (this was not always the case – it was changed under Blair, I think, to this draconian formula): Name, DoB, address.
That’s it.
Don’t sign anything you’re told to sign without a lawyer’s advice and don’t say anything else.
It will all be spun against you.
Ethinic minority groups all gen up and share knowledge on the law (producing handbooks and so on) and it’s a habit that others over there in the UK should adopt.
http://www.bnp.org.uk/news/national/fighting-freedom-resisting-police-oppression
The UK’s biggest mistake over recent centuries has been not to enshrine a right to free speech.
EC – I wonder how many people suddenly decide to wear the veil when they’ve been caught doing serious crime?
Using ethnicity is frequently cited as an excuse in court these days. There was a case of a Muslim on a sex offence whose barrister said he was brought up in a different culture that didn’t respect women as much as Western culture, so forgive.
It’s all a bare-faced lie.
And why did that ridiculous judge let that woman wear a veil in her trial, apart from when she gave evidence?
Why can’t the jury and the public gallery see her reaction to the witnesses giving evidence against her?
Justice must be seen to be done.
And then we had the silence for gangster Mark Duggan.
These judges are running scared of their politically correct profession.
They will not climb the ranks of the judiciary to the high court bench and beyond if they haven’t demonstrated commitment to ‘diversity’.
Would they hold silence for a white gangster?
Of course not.

I have just written to my MP, Helen Grant, saying the following…
I have become increasingly concerned over the course of this Government that Christians now seem to be liable to arrest for simply expressing the Christian message in public. Indeed over even the last 18 months the numbers of those arrested for explaining the Christian message in public seems to have accelerated. My personal view as an Orthodox priest is that there are other and better ways of communicating, but I believe that the targeting of Christian street preachers is simply a very manifest aspect of a more general attack on Christian practice.
I am attaching the report made by a Baptist minister in Perth, Scotland, who was arrested in Perth on Wednesday, 18th September, just yesterday. He was in the High Street in Perth, a wide open space, and was not using any amplification of his voice, yet two police vehicles were sent to arrest him for illegal activities, and a witness who defended his right to free speech was manhandled roughly and also arrested.
As a young Evangelical Christian many years ago I had engaged in street witness in Maidstone. Would I now be arrested? In a Christian country has it really become illegal under this Government for Christians to explain their faith in public? By what mandate has such a significant and dangerous erosion of public liberty taken place?
I know that if I lived in Perth I would certainly be standing next to this young preacher on Saturday when he intends to witness peacefully to his Christian faith again, having been warned by the police that he would be arrested if he attempted to preach in public. Indeed I would do my best to ensure that all of the ministers and clergy of the Christian churches of Perth stood together in public to be arrested in public by the Police for doing no more than bearing a peaceful witness to their faith in a Christian country.
I would be most grateful, as my MP, if you would respond to these concerns. There are one or two Christians who witness in Maidstone, quietly and peaceably. Can you guarantee that they will not be harassed and arrested by the police simply on the basis of a complaint? Is this silencing of the Christian voice the policy of the Conservative Party? If it is not then why are the cases of Christians being arrested increasing so rapidly?
I am attaching a report from this preacher who has been arrested in Perth. I would ask you to read it. It is not very long. It is noteworthy that he was not allowed to have legal representation, and that the police had decided that preaching in the street was an illegal activity.
Peter, I read your last piece with a great deal of sadness, but even more outrage. Have the Anglostazi never heard of Voltaire’s dictum, or more importantly the Bill of Rights of 1699? which specifically guarantees the freedom of speech, As old man Cicero said, O Tempora O Mores.

He might have said nothing that should propel him into court but, if he was a director of a FTSE100 company, would he remain on the board after treating ’employees’ as he did, especially when he has recently sailed so close to the wind, and so much is at stake?
I am sad that all the MEP women and a candidate in the UKIP ignored my appeal about FGM. Proves I am not an old cynic after all! Bloom sounds like a mole placed by the marxists, or else he is just a plain nutter.
As far as I can see, Bloomers comments were a joke and were received as a joke. He should have been defended as making a joke. So much is at stake, but what is required is a movement which considers itself a little less fragile.
So, Billy Connolly has announced to the world that he has had surgery for prostate cancer , and has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
I wonder if, somewhere, the spirit of beheaded kidnap victim Kenneth Bigley is looking down/up and paraphrasing what “The Big Yin” said about him? i.e. “When you hear about Connolly in the news, don’t you wish HE would just get on with it……?”
Billy Connolly, Godfrey Bloom, spoilt and ignorant cheap and nasty egoists. I looked up Bloom on Google, and he boasts how he frequented the brothels of Hong Kong. Maybe his uncontrolled language is the result of some nasty illness? UKIP does not need people like him, and I do not want so-called comedians ike Connolly.
I’ve now finished Diana West’s American Betrayal. It got more and more fascinating as you go along- just as does a first-rate novel – except that her book isn’t a novel, but is deadly serious. I often just couldn’t put the book down and have had several very late nights as a result.
There are a few references to Islam in the book’s earlier pages, but she reserves the most telling comments on the wishy washy response of U.S. politicians to the war being waged by Islam against the U.S. for the last chapter.
For British readers, an especially notable thing about American Betrayal is how closely it parallels the extent of the betrayals that have occurred over the same time period – and especially after 1945 – in Britain.
Diana West shines a brilliant light on the betrayers – whose guiding principles in relation to the deadly ambitions of the Soviet Union, Marxism in general, and now of Islam, can be summed up as – “See not, Hear not, Speak not Evil.”
Despite the immense efforts being made to silence, ridicule and marginalise her, it is good to read yet another opinion defending her –

Why has The Mail started referring to “mums” as “moms”? They never use “mum” any more. I wonder why they are so enamoured with aberrant American spelling of “mum” and “mummy”.

The “DM” lacks editorial assistants, and there is no conformity of style. Sometimes they use American spelling whilst on other occasions they do not. If this was their only fault they could be forgiven, but alas their articles are filled with errors of every description.
The DM is buying in lots of stories from the US, usually ones which are irrelevant to the UK market. It fills things up. They all use US spellings so they are obvious.

Peter from Maidstone – 21:22 ‘the fragile party?’
Do you want the public to be better informed about, and have a better understanding of, UKIP’s polices?
Do you want UKIP’s policies challenged, so that interesting discussions can be aired on the MSM?
I do! When that happens UKIP will not only be a robust party, it will be seen to be one!
It is also what democracy is about! Anyway, enough of self interest!
I expect a lot of effort was put into holding this event and the bandwidth available for informing the public, and hearing their responses, was reduced. So, in the aftermath, determining whether he has committed a “sin in the eyes of the ‘Politically Correct'” or even if he was a complete wally* should not be at the top of UKIP’s agenda. The focus should be on how the Party can most effectively put its message across, listen to the public response and take note, and ensure that their resources are used most effectively.
The journalist must be happy: he got a story and is on next morning’s front page!
I thought that being in the Army taught you that sniper fire can cause untold damage and that, even if there are no casualties, it encourages the opposition!
** A wally is someone who is very intelligent in some areas but very stupid (almost unbelievably) in others.

When Bloom literally threw the racialist smear in Crick’s face he responded in the expected manner to the Lefts calculated goad.
UKIP has distanced themselves from him. Many ordinary people, asking themselves what they would have done, cheer.
Has it damaged UKIP? Either by his action, or subsequently Crowther’s suspension of the whip?
I think not. Rather the opposite. Its message of ‘space not race’ gains greater hold on the public imagination daily, as we continue to be the EU’s surplus population dump, more and more resembling the General Government of Poland in 1940.
And of course Farage is open to criticism, for supporting his friend through thick and thin, for smoking and liking a drink, in short for not being a moral paradigm.
But he has one quality sorely lacking in the others, the tin gods we like to set up and knock down as they all, always, fail us.
He has humanity. He speaks to us because he understands our concerns.
He is not UKIP. Which will stand or fall on its message of spirit of the paramountcy of the ifreedom of the individual from state oppression and the independence of the nation state from the EU superstateddce No man is or will be. But at present he is the flag bearer who carries the message.
RobertC@September 21st, 2013 – 11:51
UKIP is an immature party, so we see the cracks as they haven’t a polished machine.
I suspect the rawness of them is part of their appeal.
Rather like the unpolished punk ousting mainstream pop.
Mmmm UKIP as political punks. no there is a thought!
Can someone explain a paradox for me,please?
The lefties seem to support Islam, at least to not question its mysogonisitic tendencies (FGM, Burkas, child grooming treating their camels better than their women, lack of womens rights in Islam states etc etc)
The right want to expose Islam as being mysogonistic, questioning and exposing those ‘traditions’
But the left is more into equality than the right. Why is the left not screaming from the rooftops about the mysogeny of Islam.
I am baffled…
Maybe the “Bloom” affair will wake up UKIP supporters to the party’s many failings – and maybe they’ll do something about it.
Its most obvious failings are its scarcity of public faces – just Farage and Bloom; the absence of a coherent plan on its founding policy, an EU exit strategy; and its general weak grasp on issues (as EU Referendum regularly points out).
It’s no good Farage wailing that Bloom wrecked the party conference, or that the media have got it in for them – all very predictable – do something about it.
Richard North provides an incisive and challenging view of UKIP and Nigel Farage.

Actually, ‘Wally’ in Cockney Rhyming Slang = Gherkin = prick (obviously because a Gherkin is shaped like a prick). I think your adaptation is perhaps both a little idiosyncratic and contrived to assist the flow of your post? But then, CRS a living language and open to constant evolution of handy neologisms:-)
In London, “The Gherkin” – a City landmark, is now appropriately almost entirely peopled by pricks.
I have always assumed that there must have been a Victorian music hall artist named Walter Crick hence the derivation; probably a ancestor of Michael, who has consistently carried on the old family tradition of being a right Wally and yesterday excelled himself in that regard. As I refuse point blank to consume the output of Channel 4 News, even for research purposes, (there are some things at which I draw a red line, even for Queen and Country and he was beyond the pale even at the BBC) I therefore missed the spat.
Pray tell me, did he really get thumped by Bloom, or was that just exaggeration in the reportage? Perhaps they just crossed Wallies?
I thought perhaps that politics had reached its nadir yesterday; then I inadvertently caught the protracted Sky News report today about Milliminor on the stump at Brighton, with his emetic (planted) Q & (pat) A session, which proved me wrong about yesterday’s judgement about the depths to which politics can sink.
And even ‘our future Prime Minister’ with this puerile performance: a sixth-form audition of ‘public speaking’, was capped by the increasingly risible Mafia Associate moll Tessa Jowell, who responded to the somewhat tame question of the Sky Anchor (the scruffy bird with the cockney accent, lank mousy hair, pumped up lips and bleary eyes – can’t remember her name) about the revelations in Damien McBride’s book delineating Ed Milliband’s scheming and duplicity, went into peons of praise for ‘her leader’, chronicling the evidence of his absolute honesty, integrity, lack of guile, complete open-ness, yada yada, yada! (No follow through from rubber lips, naturally).
I suppose old age is responsible for Tess’s forgetfulness regarding the fact that he recruited the Unions to help him shaft his big brother in the Party Leadership campaign and even the more recent shafting of the Unions in order to demonstrate his ‘move to the centre’. And I suppose, using her own political career as a yardstick, even Ed would be regarded as comparatively honest.
Ugly little conniving bitch pandering to the entomological, power-hungry adolescent spawn of generations of trenchant Marxism.
And the likelihood of him getting the keys of No.10, by default, is extremely high!
Never mind, the sun just broke through, so we shall take a stroll through HM’s Country Park and avail ourselves of delights of the ‘blue trail’. The summer invasion has now abated. Couldn’t manage the longer ‘yellow trail’ today. The politics has drained me of energy. And anyway – must start to put the Dolly Varden to bed for the winter.
And Paul Nuttall speaks ‘common sense’.

Frank Sutton 13:24 — Farage doesn’t “wail”. He expresses his thoughts robustly and is always articlulate.
UKIP still shrinks from rational discussion about the ever-increasing threat of islamic jihad, both external and internal. All other issues pale into insignificance by comparison. If we don’t take steps to stem the toxic flow of islamic demographics and cultural/relgious subversion into our country, then it matters not whether the werrkin’ class (as in gherkin and ass) from Bootle vote Labour, Tory, BNP, LibDem or UKIP. we are done for. The word Islam does not appear to be in the lexicon of UKIP propaganda. Why?
A question from Frank, robust as always.
I, too, would like to hear an explanation from a elected politican (any politician) as to why the gigantic, gross subject of islamic immigration and islamic habits is not mentioned in debate.
We know that the Left has deconstructed the word “racist” to the point of having no meaning at all other than what the speaker, who intends to belittle, wans it to mean. Do those who fail to mention islami fear being called “racist”? Is that what it is?
Just as a little comfort to calm their troubled nerves, except for Judaism, no religion is a race. Christianity isn’t a race. Buddhism isn’t a race. Hinduism isn’t a race.
Frank P
“The word Islam does not appear to be in the lexicon of UKIP propaganda. Why?”
Because it’s electoral suicide Frank, and you know it. The socialists and ‘me-ja’ have concocted two winning formulae, which are used to trumped freedom of thought and speech and to enforce the status quo,viz;
Socialism =Fairness/(Islam = Asian +Black) x Human Rights = Racist
Conservative= Epitome of Evil/(Capitalist+Nazi+Colonial Bigot+Religious loon)
These two formulae, of Einsteinien epic mythology, have replaced all rational thought and it is inevitable that when the term Racist is shouted then, like late and sadly lamented Humphrey Lyttelton calling out ‘Mornington Crescent’, the game ends, but unfortunately, without any of the same intellligent sparkle and humour.
So UKIP, like any body on the nominated ‘right’, labours under a socialist yoke of political correctness which is ruthlessly imposed through by the near uniformly accepted doctrine of ‘Responsibility to Correct’.
Stand against it and you too are liable to find a UAF launched Tomahawk parting the Delphiniums on your front path, heading straight to your front door.
And you don’t just have the state’s goons to deal with either. Given the populous and ubiquity state of Britain’s Islamic ghettoes like Theo Van Gogh no British white, man or woman, is safe nowadays from the real threat of fanatical violence and murder.
You WILL be villified and arrested by the police, once Peel’s guardians of British liberty, now re-activated by ACPO as Britain’s own NKVD or SturmSchutz.
You WILL be sentanced, fined, imprisoned and disgraced. Isolated from your friends and family.
Now that I’ve reminded you of the new realities, perhaps you understand the practical difficulties of running a campaign to halt mass immigration by warning of the dangers of the ‘religion of peace’.
Like fighters in the French Resistance, the old Lancashire catholics of the 16th Century, or the Jacobites of the 18th, we are now reduced to talking in code. Saying one thing, but meaning and doing another, like the outlawed Jacobites who would publicly, though secretly, drink to Bonnie Prince Charlie, by passing their glass over a bowl of water. Thus, while ostensibly toasting the Hanoverian King George II, they were actually drinking to “the king across the water.”
And so for now ‘Race not Space’ it must be, demonstrable, verifiable, provable, unarguable.
You may criticise UKIP for not tackling the growth of islam, but perhaps you should also credit the British peoples’ growing awareness of how we must address it. Let us take our hard earned lessons from Karl and Vladimir, Jo and Mao, not forgetting Joseph and Adolph we have paid dearly enough for them. This is the first step in our own Long March.
Noah! Applause! Bravo! A standing ovation even!

Gawd, I hope not! Though he writes well and is an experienced politician, I and others have made our feeling very plain that using this oily huckster offends us personally and damages the party. To the extent that we would consider resignation. We have plenty of better candidates; motivated and without his baggage.

Farage got slutgate completely wrong. He should have laughed it off.
The slut remark was a joke (Slut also means a woman who keeps a dirty house, i.e does not clean behind the fridge). And Crick is an odious twat who needed a slapping, and was winding Bloom up.

And the slaughter of that soldier in Woolwich hasnt been forgotten.
Alexandr- I’m in agreement with both your posts. Nevertheless Ive come to the conclusion that Bloom, essentially selfish and oinioated to the core, simply has to go.

Lack of visibility is due to MSM censorship, but the situation is improving! It is similar to polls asking which of the Lib Dems, Lab and Con they would vote for, and not mention UKIP, even when they have a bigger rating than the LibDems.

I have always had a sneaking admiration for Farage which increased after his fight back after the plane crash.
He is however I fear like Gordon Brown. He of bigot fame.
He struggles to be one of us but I suspect that underneath the bongo bongo attitude to other peoples and a slut attitude to we ladies is also a repressed part of his own psyche.
The bottom line for me is that I cannot trust him.
Therefore I cannot trust the party.
I now hope that Cameron puts paid to him.
The BBC are continuing to report the Nairobi massacre at being carried out by “terrorists”, possibly in retaliation for Kenyan intervention against “militants” in Somalia. No mention of the Religion of Peace of course.
RobertC – 18:06 ‘FGM’
This is from the article, link at Alexsandr’s 16:41 post:
“Systems need to be put in place at a statutory level. Data needs to be gathered by midwives and other health professionals on girls at risk. And the government must ensure that schools are made to do their part.
…
The only people who can put these systems in place are the Prime Minister, David Cameron; the UK Home Office; and the Secretaries of State for Education, Michael Gove MP, and for Health, Jeremy Hunt MP. They must act now; if they dont, more girls will be mutilated.”
So all the teachers, social workers, school heads, community organisers, youth workers and family doctors involved are completely powerless to do anything? They must be terrified of being accused of r****m! What else could it be?
So, why do they need a database to be empowered?
These people should be removed from their posts, without the golden goodbyes like enhanced pensions. It is the law! If it was a mildly offensive tweet, from an indigenous child, I am sure they would be flying out of their blocks!
I would expect support would be forthcoming when an ‘investigation’ is started, because it is the law, but it needs the above people to start the process. These people also need support! Otherwise, it is just a wild goose chase, as the Police probably already know.
The article’s author has made a brave start, and still everyone else in these communities is looking the other way! Shocking!
What do these arrogant, mostly public sector jobsworths want, apart from their pensions? Do they want mandatory inspections, with the girls’ and their families’ ‘uman rights waived? If so, speak out? Because no one else will, it is not part of their culture! We will be supportive, but cannot initiate proceeding without being accused of cultural arrogance, which will stop any progress.

Should the electorate’s decision on the choice of government rest solely on the views it forms of the psyches of the party leaders?
Or should it rest primarily on the policies of the parties?
I know and support what the UKIP stands for. And although I have reservations about him I trust Nigel Farage to do his best to deliver on them.
I cannot say the same of the conservative party, and certainly not Cameron, a proven liar and arch eu-quivocator.
The DPP needs to be instructed to take this seriously. professionals working in this field need to be told that ignoring this will lose them their jobs and possible be done for aiding and abetting.

Bravo.
We have been very selective in which charities to support and as a result we now have quarterly direct debits to just four.
In our opinion many are peopled by left wing placemen/women and so our four were chosen with great care.
However after reading James Delingpole’s piece in the Spectator 14th September (I am a week behind with my reading) we are about to stop our debits to the RSPB, we have diligently paid into their funds for well over thirty years but now it must stop.
They are now killing birds with wind-farms.
Patriccia Shaw, you claim that Nigel has “a slut attitude to we ladies”. You do know he is married to a German, do you not?
Noa – I, too, expect Nigel to deliver on his promises.
David Ossitt – I used to support the RSPB when I lived in Britain. If I lived there now, I would cancel my membership stat.
Saw the BBC TV 2 programme on Angela Merkel. Very superficial, and I did feel sorry for Andrew Marr, who bears the scars from his recent serious illness. I am a devout Wagner fan, but found it pathetic the way various operas were brought out to accompany the script. Started with the Flight of the Valkries and concluded with Gotterdamerung! If they had to have a musical background, Beethoven, especially the Ninth, would have been far more suitable. How I wish Merkel was ours, but would the foolish public ever accept her?
Angela Merkel is an East German trained agent of the Project. We don’t need anything she has to offer.
The vindictive assault on smokers continues elsewhere with the plannedban on smoking in prisons. The reasons given are that Prisons are government property and the lives of prison officers, or nannies as they shoud be known, are in danger from passive smoking.
This introduction is to be trialled, and £11 million is budgeted for the provision of nicotine patches to prisoners, as the Ministry for Justice, and presumably its Minister Chris Grayling, otherwise fear widespread rioting.
Of course the widespread problems arising from the legal issue of methodone, and the use of illicit drugs, continues. One assumes that a prisonful of junkies poses no particular threat to the POA’s members and they thoroughly approve of the ‘drug cosh’ being applied to their ‘customers’. Anything for a quiet life, after all and why should they be concerned at the effect of drugs on offenders, legally or otherwise?
Are there grey areas which need to be addressed here. Is a joint going to be banned because it contains tobacco, or will it escape censure because it doesn’t?
No one of course has addressed the real problem, which is that prisoners, or ‘offenders’ as the state weasel wording now refers to them, are in prison because they break the law.
There are some very unpleasent people indeed in prison, some will be there for the rest of their lives. Why should they stop smoking simply because of another law banning it? Who will stop them? And how? A new regulation? It’s enforcement by the prissy Offender Management Service? One thinks not.
Reports are silent on whether the use of ecigarettes will permitted, but one suspects this will become an itrrelevence, as regardless, prisoners light up in their cells and break up the furniture in order to set fire to it.
Only a government minister, and prison service of extreme stupidity, could create a situation where the majority of the law abiding, freedom deprived public will cheer on and support rioting criminals as they burn their own prisons.

“Bravo” (re Noa’s apologia for UKIP’s reluctance to nail its colours to the mast).
Is that an indication that you’ll vote UKIP? Or are you just adopting Noa’s ‘talking in code’ ploy? I have always understood that you are a faithful Tory – albeit with strong reservations about the current ‘leader’ and the ‘coalition’? 🙂
As for you Noa … unless right-leaning politicians of the west are prepared to not only name the enemy, but also to oppose it vigorously in every way possible, then the enemy has won. I have feared that to be the case for some time. You just confirmed it. Unless Farage promises to repeal laws that make it an offence to speak the truth about the most dangerous threat to Western Civilisation in my lifetime, viz. the temporary alliance of covert communism and rampant Islam (each thinking they will prevail in the end game), I see no point in voting for UKIP. Yet another political party fuelled by dishonesty? We have three already – what’s the point of spawning yet another craven outfit that is afraid to speak out and define the problem? You are ceding to the demands of Left and the MSM regarding ‘political correctness’?
Not really? Just pretending to? That’s the sort of convoluted, craven crap that has already led to the three main political parties being almost indistinguishable, one from the others, for ‘electoral convenience’. None of them have used their electoral advantage for the good of our country with the exception of the Thatcher outifit from 79 – 90 (and even that regime was not without its quirks and contradictions – and eventual regicide). Hasn’t that been the main body of complaint from the stalwarts of this blog and the previous platforms we have infested? If you are telling me that I recently joined a political party (for the first time in my life) that intends to follow the dictates of political correctness (but only under pretence), then I wasted my membership fee. Your scouse oppo speaks of the ‘party of common sense’. Well .. isn’t it common sense to describe Islam as what it is and does? Isn’t it right to abhor and speak out against its barbaric credo and overt violence; its aspirations of world domination? It is as great threat as Hitler was, because we are appeasing it, just as Chamberlain did in the 30s; at least Churchill was prepared to name his enemy (but even he couldn’t defeat him, don’t forget, without the aid of a potentially worse enemy – Uncle Joe and look what that led to post-war).
We haven’t got time for a ‘Long March’ back through the institutions of Islam or the cabals of communism; they’re far too cunning for that. There is no subterfuge capable of penetrating their citadels covertly. Is Nigel’s plan to covertly join the communist party or become an Imam? Frank Sutton is right to demand a game plan from our aspiring hero.
We have allowed inimical forces to infiltrate our culture and our politics; already Judeo-Christianity is under threat of extinction. What plans have you for stealthily creeping into their crypts, crapping, and creeping out again?
No – they have to be rooted out of ours, that’s the point. It’s a Herculean task and Nigel ain’t shaping up as Hercules – the Augean Stables of Westminster and Washington are waste deep in bullshit, already. What you seem to be proposing is adding another layer.
Herbert just put his finger on it in his post at 00:56:
“Diana West (I should think) would describe it as a continuation of the kind of wishful thinking about our mortal enemies that our elites embraced in 1933 – and have, despite the mountain of evidence of its foolishness, firmly followed ever since. ”
Now Bravo! to that, Herbert. THAT’S what I call ‘common sense’. Unfortunately it seems that common sense is quite uncommon in these scatty days of political cross-dressing.
Very disappointed with Farage’s response to the got-up media storm over Bloom’s merry bandying of words with the UKIP women,in a pathetic attempt to portray UKIP as a `nice`party. This is well put into perspective in,of all unlikely places,The Scotsman which addresses the dirty tricks of the establishment, from which UKIP supporters are immune;and pointed out that”ex-Tory voters are now irreconciliables”,with a aim of getting `Dave`.____________As to the other matter:Bloom only did what we all want to do;swatted a sanctimonious pratt (and agent provocarteur) over the head with a UKIP pamphlet. Even the BBC are going to have trouble spinning this shopping mall attack after the killing only of non Muslims .
I suppose we will be told it was a specific attack over one issue and has no link to any other problems in the world.
After all, how could the religion of peace have any link to something like this.

They mention the muslim context but well down the piece online. The first part of the article just calls the gunmen ‘terrorists’

Frank P -some unearthly time of the night
“You just confirmed it.”
No Frank I didn’t confirm anything of the sort. I gave you my view of what has to be done in order to break the duplicious stranglehold the seamless autocracy has on the throat of UK democracy and its dumbed down baa-ing electorate. Being a libertarian I support and will defend your right to take any other course of action you deem appropriate and necessary, up to and including the issue of piano wire for use in conjunction with the parliamentary lamposts on those who have abused our trust, their office and our constitutional liberties; as long as it doesn’t frighten the animals.
Ultimately of course, it’s just that. Not gospel. It’s my own view, no more or less. Not UKIP’s. If you want another view ask Nuttall, or Farage, or Bloom. But its based on persnal experience and discussion with others. The threat of loosing one’s job, house and family is very real today, as is imprisonment for expressing one’s views.
I’ve already said that I have reservations about the party and its leadershp. But I have far more about the coxcomb of No 10 and his androidal, adenoidal doppelganger. I agree with you and have already made it clear that an action plan to leave is an urgent requirement if the electorate is to be convinced of UKIP’s capability and sincerity.
The clue is in the title, hanging on that independence bit. Nothing at all will change in the stagnant, festering pond that is Westminster unti the logjam of marxist dogma from Brussels is broken.
As for the Long March and not having time for it, so be it. We all do what we can. One thing that is no longer an option, thanks to Tony Blair, is to reach for one’s revolver in the counter revolutiion.
Radford NG – 04:17 ‘got-up media storm’
Yes, it was ‘got-up’, they were there waiting and waiting for an excuse to get their story on the front page: a story that would reduce the impact of the whole UKIP conference.
Someone did just that, and UKIP were ‘lucky’ that the misdemeanours had little substance and were ‘got-up’. Being independently minded and a free thinker does not mean being unaware of the dangers of very misinterpretable irony or of mismanagement errors, like not being able to fend off journalists ‘looking for blood’. The guy has been in the Army and he doesn’t recognise a battle field set up by his own side, or the need for tactics and strategy?
Do you want to throw the dice again, and take another risk, when resources can be deployed in much better ways by the membership to further their aims, which getting this country out of the clutches of the LibLabConGreen party?
Here is Farage, with his own explanation (from 1:33:50 to 1:37:10):
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b03c9t7d/UKIP_Conference_2013_20_09_2013/
The last couple of minutes, from 1:37:10, shows how UKIP is developing and addresses some concerns already raised earlier on this site.
This is worth watching! (Not that the rest of the video isn’t that bad!)
It is a non-party-political presentation by Lord Digby Jones at the UKIP conference:

I saw the parallel immediately. G-d help Jews, Christians, Hindus and all other peoples who are not of the’Religion of Peace’. Fat lot of support we will get from the BBC and the bald-headed bastard William Hague and his gang of ass crawlers.

Verity, just use a web proxy
On BBC TV News, Quisling Cameron has stated that no way can the terrorists in Nairobi be considered as muslims. Religious muslims, the creyin states, do not kill nor involve themselves in terrorism. I believe there are deliberately coordinated terrorist attacks in the last few days. An Israeli soldier in Israel was abducted then murdered and thrown down a well. In Pakinstan at least 60 Christians have been slain, again by muslims. Does Cameron think the faecal matter that dribbles out of his lips will protect him and his family when the muslims come bursting through his front door?
‘Moderate muslims’ are displaced by more knowledgeable muslims:
[1] Andrew Cutts-McKay, former head of al-Madinah School in Derby and former deputy Suzanne Southerland claim they were ‘sidelined’ by the school
[2] Staff also claimed religious hardliners banned children from singing or reading fairy tales
[3] Claims come just days after female staff allegedly told to sign new contracts which force them to wear the hijab
[4] Employees say they are ‘concerned’ by other practices including forcing female pupils to sit at the back of the class away from boys
[5] Non-Halal food and unacceptable jewellery also banned, it is claimed
[6] As a free school it operates outside local authority control but still qualifies for government funding
[7] National Union of Teachers is ‘very worried’ about the school
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2428958/Muslim-school-banned-pupils-singing-reading-fairy-tales-hardliners-took-control-ousted-headmaster-deputy.html

It’s all beyond a joke! Someone must break ranks.

We have decided to give the silly Dave a kick up the bum as it were by voting UKIP in the forthcoming EU elections but we will keep the faith in the hope of a Tory win at the General Election.
Herbert Thornton – 22:19 ‘Diana West’
I have just started reading Diana West’s earlier book, The Death of the Grown-Up, and even in the (two page) Preface to the 2008 edition we have some gems! How about:
“Without adults, without lines and boundaries – often confining, even constricting, but always there to cross if the singular compulsion arose – we have lost our bearings. As a result, our society has become not only sketchy and ill-defined, but – and here is the more dire and political part – difficult to defend.”
Sums it up really. The rest is detail, but I will still be reading the book!

Exactly. Moreover – who is pulling his strings?
I reiterate. unless a party emerges that will repeal most of the laws enacted in the last twenty years or so; refutes the ECHR as dominant over our Parliament; opts out of the Egregious Union; starts to call a spade a spade, particularly in relation to the aspirations of the Muslim Brotherhood; spits in the eye of the pc brigade; dumps the army of parasitical think-tanks and ‘spads’ and fulfils the wishes of the vast majority of the English people we are headed for Dhimmitude.
I did think for a while, that UKIP was such a nascent movement. Now Noa tells me that it dare not speak the name of the enemy for fear of bringing down the wrath of the leftist culture warriors on its head. The question remains (and Noa, who is right about so much) has not answered it. Why does Farage rail off off at his co-members of the Europissing ‘Parliament’ (mafia) and tell it the way it is over there, but loses his cojones when he steps back on British soil? Islam is the problem – as the events of the last two decades in particular have demonstrated in spades. I care nothing for the sensitivities of ‘moderate muslims’ because there is such thing when push comes to shove. Unless they are prepared to reject the dictates of the crazy book of superstitious hatred and twaddle and join the culture of the land to which they have emigrated, then they are the enemy. As for those quite blatantly waging war on the ‘infidels’ of other countries, then we should hunt them down and kill them, They cannot be appeased. They have their tails up, just as Hitler did in ’33 and they cannot be satisfied until they have established the new caliphate. There is only one alternative. Negotiation means we lose. There is an existential threat not only to Israel, but ultimately to both the US and Britain. France is already in the thrall of Islam.
Cameron and his side- kicks from the FCO are a bunch of arabist Kuwaiti tankers.

If these murdering scum aren’t representative of all Muslims, then why, as has been asked a million times already, aren’t all the “moderate Muslims” swarming Trafalgar Square wearing “Not In My Name” T-shirts, burning their burkas and quoting Locke?
As for Cameron, he is an obscenity to a free society, reminding me of that other spineless twit Brian Paddick, who as Assistant Commissioner of the Met Police was telling us, even whilst people were suffering unimaginable torments down on the London Underground, if not actually dead, that Islam was a religion of peace. Even when reality literally explodes in these peoples faces, they still won’t acknowledge it as it is.
Jonathan Swift, right about everything, said something like “You cannot remove by reason that which has not been put there by reason.”

True. But it took “New” Labour to deliver the coup de grace. They imported 5 million fecund unskilled immigrants, the larger proportion of whom are hostile to western culture and adherents/submissives to a fascist ideology committed to the West’s destruction.
Forget Nuclear, Bio, Chemical Weapons, the most effective WMD of all is the demographic bomb, and it “New” Labour’s “Scotia Nostra” that detonated it – in order to “rub the Right’s nose in Diversity.” These people should be held to account.

No they cant. If you have cancelled the debit the bank should not pay out on it. If they do pay out on a cancelled DD demand an immediate refund from your bank. Check the DD terms and conditions.
More difficult is continuous payment authority on a plastic card. Banks may well maintain these are not cancellable vis them, but I think the courts have said that view is not legal.
Simple precaution is never give out continuous payment authority on your plastic.

I loathed Cameron from the first time I saw his photo. His vapid, self-regarding, self-important painted bizarre self-esteem. And the way he never forgot to let the press know when he would be out pushing a pushchair with his disabled child in it. And remember “Breakfast with The Camerons” on TV? What kind of ego does take?
And that awful wife, selling trendy pink Bibles, who felt she shouldn’t wear a hat to the royal wedding in case she intimidated the “little” people by being too grand. Clearly she doesn’t know that the minute she gets an invitation to a wedding, the mind of every woman in Britain immediately goes to, “I wonder what kind of hat I should buy! Only a month to decide! I better start shopping today!!”
Verity 21.00
All so true.
Enoch said that a statesman’s first duty was to avoid preventable evils. But with Blair, Brown and Cameron, the evil is being wreaked deliberately, and they hate us more for having the gall to notice.
I don’t fully understand UKIP’s coyness because it seems that Labour, LibDem and Conservative politicians are increasingly making statements critical of aspects of immigration and Islam which should be used with razor precision by UKIP to promote their own agenda.
When unions and politicians are concerned that British teachers are having to wear a veil and eat halal meat in a Muslim school where girls have to sit at the back of the class then UKIP should agree loudly with this criticism and make it more precise.
When Labour MPs speak about restricting immigration and providing apprenticeships for local people UKIP should be loud in their agreement while making clear that such a programme is not possible in the EU.
UKIP should make the most of every one of such opportunities to agree with others, to show that this is what Cameron says, or Milliband, while clearly pointing out the inadequacy in their proposals.
I still think a campaign against Halal, against FGM and child marriage, looking at the practices in places like Saudi Arabia etc, would also have an impact. Also against the burqa of course. Using whatever alliances can be made on every issue.
P from M – The British would respond to an islamic demand that animals should be slaughtered for allah without regard to the animal’s fear. In fact, they should boycott stores that sell meat slaughtered in this loathesome, inhumane manner.
Covering one’s face in public should be banned. Actually, islam should be banned as it encourages one man to “marry” multiple women, which is already against the law but somehow there is a failure to prosecute men not just with multiple wives, but getting multiple benfits for the household, encourages slicing the clitorises off little girls and making women invisible in gear that was invented centuries before allah was invented, to keep the ever-blowing desert sand out of eyes, noses, mouths and ears of nomads. The men wore keffiyahs for the same reason. It could be tied to shade the eyes, protect the nose from inhaling blowing sand and protect the back of the neck from the fierce desert sun.
All this gear was intelligent practicality for dealing with their environment. The allah-loonies only started ascribing it all to some weird worship of allah much later. I have a photo of myself sitting on a world-weary camel in front of the pyramids. The camel is wearing a yashmak to shield it from inhaling the shifting sands.
Allah my arse.

All threats to this country have been fanned by it having so few people who have grown up. I admit to being a Diana West fan 🙂 , but I have seen the evidence with my own eyes for several decades. My post at 17:04 says it all.
Whether you think the threat is islam, proscribed drugs, prescribed drugs, Socialism, the EU, family break down, gay marriage, abortion on demand, the multicultural mish-mash, ‘uman rights, diversity officers, public sector sloth, the big banks, government borrowing, demise of the Church’s thinking, lack of any urgency to save for retirement, the behaviour in the NHS, the NHS finances, the finances of the Premier League, windmills, lack of progress with fraccing, the recycling into a half a dozen, colour coded bins (especially this one as it mezmorizes us at our most vunerable 🙂 ), easier exams, or that 49% of children are now going to university while 25% leave school, with less than the ability of an eleven year old, or it is just all the politicians’ fault, it doesn’t really matter does it?
Until people realise what is happening, while they continue to float along in a daze, watching Big Brother, any attempt to do anything about it will not be tolerated by the those benefiting from the above. And there are a lot of them about!
At least, with a lot of luck, we have, for now, stopped getting involved with bombing Damascus, though the Government is trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory for common sense!

Whhich gets to the point of the matter. Nothing, but nothing, can be done until Britain gets its sovereignty and law making ability back. If UKIP achieves even that incredibly difficult task, by getting us out of the EU, let alone a 5 year total ban on immigration, it wlll have done more than all the other parties combined.
Noa directly above — That is correct.
PfM – 21:35 ‘critical statements’
Peter, their statements have no substance!
While the EU and ‘uman rights rule over us, nothing can happen.
The parties’ positions on this are well known, so as more and more dreadful headings appear in newspapers and as the pressure builds up for them to appear on the BBC, it will, hopefully, eventually sway people, because it is real. Because it will affect them. It will wake them to reality and they will see who has had the most important and effective policies for the longest. If the bubble doesn’t burst, a ‘right minded’ government, even without the BBC around, would not be able to do anything anyway! MrsT learnt from Ted what not to do (be unprepared). This country’s enemies have learnt from MrsT (to be prepared), so the penny must be allowed to drop!
The BBC is still, against its charter, promoting Catastrophic Man-made Global Warming, even after the accumulated evidence has shown it to be a false alarm and Germany has started to panic about it’s expensive renewable energy pushing up manufacturing costs.

Thanks! I found this gem, a report on reports about Syria:
“But while most news outlets relied heavily on Obama administration officials as sources, the BBC failed to balance its reporting by consulting many representatives of the U.S. House of Congress, the lower house of which is controlled by the Republican Party.
While Fox News, MSNBC, CNN and even Al Jazeera relied upon Obama administration sources for over 50 percent of their coverage on the crisis in Syria, the BBC used just 40 percent. But Fox and MSNBC used 36 and 38 percent Congressional sources, while Al Jazeera and CNN used sources in Congress 16 percent of the time. The BBC came in at just 2 percent on this measure.
Instead, the BBC was heavily reliant on Syrian sources, making up 38 percent of its cited sources. MSNBC, another Left-wing outlet, used just 5 percent.”

Here is a good example:
Miliband’s immigration policy in chaos as the apprenticeships he promised to ‘local’ workers will be open to anyone in the EU
[1] All companies with more than 50 staff would be hit by new rule
[2] A British trainee must be taken on for every worker from outside the EU
[3] Fears it could create a skills shortage if companies stop hiring
[4] Business leaders slam ‘apprentice tax’ which fails to understand industry
“Labour’s flagship immigration policy to force firms to take on British apprentices unravelled within hours today, as it emerged the jobs will be open to anyone from within the EU.
To much fanfare Ed Miliband unveiled the plan to compel large firms who bring in skilled foreign workers to also ‘train up someone who is a local worker’.
Despite efforts to woo business leaders to back Labour’s reforms, industry groups lined up to slam the ‘apprentice tax’ which they warned would create a raft of ‘daft’ new red-tape at a time when firms were struggling to stay afloat.”

Two men arrested by police in Dover on Monday have been charged under the 2000 Terrorism Act, Scotland Yard has said.
The men, aged 29 and 22, have been charged with conspiring to attend a place used for terrorist training and for the unlawful possession of ammunition.
They had just arrived from Calais when they were detained in Dover.
The pair, both British citizens from east London, were investigated by the Met Police’s counter-terrorism unit.
Mohommod Hassin Nawaz and Hamza Nawaz, of the same address, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday 23 September.
Mohommod Hassin Nawaz was also charged with the unlawful possession of a laptop containing documents “likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism”.

Labour have promised yet more free childcare. They have also promised free school dinners (ugh!) to all children, and schooldays that go on from 8 in the morning until 6 at night, so the poor little buggers can be ‘farmed out’ whilst their parents, or probbly parent works. All these promises, or threats, by a political party which is not in power. How easy it is to make expensive promises when one isn’t holding the purse strings. Somehow, all this planned childcare seems to fit in with Labour’s hatred of the family, and surely the next step will be residential care for all children!
